Systemic Failures of the Obama Administration

From national security, to the handling of our economy, and to several foreign policy missteps, we have witnessed this administration and the Democrats in Congress fail to protect our national interests and instead usher in a new era of more taxes, more spending, more government and less freedom.

On Christmas Day, terrorist Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab slipped through the cracks of our nation’s security and attempted to bomb Northwest Flight 253 on its way to Detroit. Because of the bravery and quick actions of the passengers on the Northwest flight, a major tragedy was averted.

President Obama and his administration were slow to react. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, in the first few hours after the attempted bombing, claimed “the system worked.” This sounded a lot like former President Bush in the days after Hurricane Katrina struck and destroyed much of New Orleans when he said, “Brownie, you’re doing a heckuva job.” No one believed President Bush then much as no one believes Secretary Napolitano now.

And while President Obama was on vacation in Hawaii and didn’t have a lot to say in the first few days after the event, he recently called the lapses and breakdowns of the federal government and intelligence agencies a “systemic failure.” But as we look back on the first year of the Obama administration, much of what President Obama has attempted and achieved has been a “systemic failure.” MORE

Obama: ‘We Were Dealt a Tough Hand’ on Economy

By:AssociatedPress

So what do you think?

Can President Obama continue to blame former President Bush for out of control spending?

President Obama ties George W. Bush on golf

 POLITICO CLICK:  Patrick Gavin

President Barack Obama has only been in office for just over nine months, but he's already hit the links as much as President Bush did in over two years.

CBS' Mark Knoller — an unofficial documentarian and statistician of all things White House-related — wrote on his Twitter feed that, "Today - Obama ties Pres. Bush in the number of rounds of golf played in office: 24.

Took Bush 2 yrs & 10 months." More here

Playing games with Iran

Playing games with Iran

Lets cut through all the crap.

First do you think that Iran will stop all research and development of weaponized Nuclear material?

Do you think they will stop after sanctions?

Do you think they will give in if China and Russia were actually looking out for the interest of world peace?

I think the only way they will stop is by force.

The powers that be are riding high after ousting a weak U.S presence in 1979.

They bolster weapons they have purchased from both Russia and China. They have lucrative energy deals with Germany and who knows what else under the scope.

There is no real pressure for Iran to stop anything they are doing.

The two factors they consider is what will Israel do?

And at one time they were concerned that Iran was next in regime change under President Bush.

Today very little threatens them.

Israel has to defend themselves and can not count on the backing of the United States. With the Liberal Democrats controlling the Government and their focus on domestic issues foreign policy is least of their worries. Iran has time to play the game waiting for the opportunity to do what they must to bring the Mahdi.

The latest round of games....

I think that Iran will make the first move. The world is weary of war and this makes it a time of opportunity.

Rice: Bush's Iranian Raid Orders Part of Larger Effort to Confront Tehran

U.S. raids that President Bush approved against Iranian targets in Iraq are part of broad efforts to confront Tehran's aggression, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Saturday.

"The United States is simply responding to Iranian activities that have been going on for a while now that threaten not just to destabilize the chance for Iraq to proceed to stability but also that endanger our forces," Rice said before meeting with Israel's foreign minister.

Bush approved the strategy several months ago, U.S. officials said, in response to what Washington claims is Iran's support for terrorists inside Iraq and the alleged funneling of bombs to anti-U.S. insurgents.

Echoing other Bush administration figures, Rice said the U.S. does not intend to cross the Iraq-Iran border to attack Iranians. Five Iranians were detained by U.S.-led forces after a raid Thursday on an Iranian government liaison office in northern Iraq. The move further frayed relations between the two countries.
